Good or bad, I encourage everyone to post comments (constructive critics prefered) about what ever you may read below. I'm no great writer, but I have fun with it. Hope you enjoy. Editors NOTE: For the record...I have included some poems that I wrote while being in sad/dark places. Writting down those feelinigs and thoughts would help get perspective on being sad. So I included them just to say, if you have ever felt this way, you are not alone. Write your own feelings down. Read over them and maybe share them with someone you love/who loves you. Don't let it bottle up.

Light

I need Your light to find my way back home
Leave it shining brightly in the window
Lord this prodigal’s life, heart, and soul
Need to feel the Son’s warmth to his marrow.

And the Light it shines just like the Son
For the world to see what He has done
Hope the world is watching on tonight

“God is light, no darkness in Him at all”
In salvation’s love His light surrounds us
Only lost can be found when they call
Upon the one that saves, his name is Jesus

And the Light that shines comes from the Son
For the world to see what He has done
Hope the world is seeking Him tonight.
Come and share His Love’s Light with the earth
Tell them how much your salvation’s worth
How eternity in Love’s so bright.

This little light of mine reflects His Way
Need to feed the spirit for it to grow true
Never let your light fade away
May be the hope for someone lost to find you

♫ "In My Momma’s Eyes" ♫

First song I ever heard was
The beating of her heart
Gently placed into her arms I
...See this is where we start - the bond,
between a child and mom.

Running just as fast as I can
See the smile, she’s watching me
Stumbling through life she'd often
Kiss away the pain that we - Got falling down,
and trade a smile for a frown, again.

In my momma’s eyes I see the love
That heaven sent through her to me
Cherish every hug and memory
I see the Love arise
In my momma’s eyes.

She never wanted to be placed on
A pedestal she didn’t earn
But for the love of all her children
And the love of God she’d yearn,
to know well, in her heart to dwell.

Many years go by like lightning
Moved away but love the days
Of hugging on my little momma
To the Lord I sing my praise - for the bond
Of me and my mom---ma.

And in my momma’s eyes I see the love
That heaven sent through her to me
Cherish every hug and memory
I see the Love arise
In my momma’s eyes.

Yes in my momma's eyes I see the Love
That Jesus sent through her to me
I cherish every hug and each memory
I see the Love of Christ
In My Momma's Eyes.

The Plight of Me, Myself, & I

          (It’s) Me, Myself, and I
           We make such a guy
Not one of us can stand to be around
         A mismatch such as we
         I, Myself, and Me
Each wish the other two would be out bound
          I argue with Myself
       Fling insults from the shelf
Of discontent, for want of privacy
Then it’s Me across the room
          In voice of utter gloom
“We’re stuck inside this human trinity”

          I try to break away
         From Myself each day
Yet in the mirror He’s looking back at Me
Each of Us wish a way
         To call the other’s They
But can’t escape this Our reality
          Can’t We get along
As one We sing a song
It’s simple, strange and in parts harmony
      Together live We must
     Until We’re windblown dust
This almost love-hate seems an irony

         We’ve lived together now
For years and yet some how
Not one has tried to kill the other two
It seems life still goes on
Each day through dusk and dawn
Could this be a hope for Me and You
Now wait! Who is this You?
The three of Us don’t do
A quartet in the mind that’s known as We
      It’s ME, MYSELF, and I
   Our trio standing by
To vanquish anyone who is not me (or myself, or I.)

"One Friend" - in rememberance of Erika Bates

“One Friend”

One desk sits forlorn
Many hearts are deeply worn
Hear the Trump of Heavens Horn
As Erica embraces the King

One smile for each recall
Of the smile of one for all
Let emotion’s rain befall
As the angels in Heaven Sing

From sight, “One Friend” mislaid
And though our heart’s dismayed
Remember love displayed
Wrapped in the comforters Wing

With the Love of Christ,
We miss you Erika

An Ode to the Evil Cookie

Thy fragrance doth fill my olfactory

Savory glands eagerly swelled

Thy taste, my buds it doth torment

To eat Evil cookie, I’m compelled.

“Jesus Loves me: Joshua knows.”

In remembrance of:
Joshua Walker
Feb 27, 1997 ~ June 10, 2012

♫ Jesus loves me this I know…♪
The last song I heard Joshua sing
Harmonizing with the angels now
Under the protection of God’s own wing

A memory for each smile Josh loaned us
We can hold them all till the day
That we too hear the Father calling
Come home child, come fly away

Bitter is the missing and longing
To be with & to hold, oh but then
Sweet is the freedom to run streets of gold
In the presents of Jesus my friend

My heart breaks and still it rejoices
From God’s promises my comfort will grow
As Joshua runs into the arms of the Saviour
Singing Your Love for me, This I Know

To have the faith of a Child
Like a heart sized mustard seed
Is a legacy my heart remembers
Of Joshua eternally freed

You too can share Joshua’s knowledge
Of Christ and his wonderful love
Seek truly and you too shall find Him
And join Joshua in heaven above.

Love ya much Joshua,
Thanks for the special memories.

"Anonymous", the one, yet faithful reader

Anonymous, the one, yet faithful reader
Was it by chance that you again returned,
And read another of these rhyming oddities,
Or is it purposed puzzle I’m to learn?

Bravely is your web wandering so wielded
For you can never know what you shall read
Still fate it seems may be what simply drives you
Toward the nonsense of my mind so freed

Who Holds the Brush?

A painting of myself I see
Inside my mind, and framed
Each stroke of color brilliantly
Describes my pride as tamed

The work, within my humble view
It is no less or more
A canvas full of modest hue
A mild lion’s roar

Hello Kettle (We are the Pot)

Hello Kettle, We are the Pot
Have we told you that you're black?
We drive the train hypocrisy
You’d best get off the track.

The details are the key within
For our train to run so charmed
But only we can switch the rails
Why would you feel alarmed?

Why not think for yourself ?

Dear Plagiaristic Copy Cat
Let your mind think alone
Don’t borrow someone else’s thoughts
And claim them as your own

The concentrations, adaptations,
And constructions of design
Should never be sponged from with out
But from within Your mind.
